Uso de videojuegos y rendimiento académico en estudiantes de premedia del Colegio San Antonio, Barú
Abstract
La presente investigación se realizó con el objetivo de determinar la asociación
entre el uso de videojuegos y el rendimiento académico en estudiantes de
premedia del Colegio San Antonio, distrito de Barú. La metodología que se utilizó,
fue un diseño no experimental de corte transversal y un enfoque cuantitativo. El
estudio fue de alcance descriptivo y correlacional. La muestra estuvo conformada
por 124 estudiantes del nivel de premedia del referido centro educativo. La
recolección de datos se realizó mediante un cuestionario ad hoc dirigido a evaluar
la frecuencia, el tiempo y el tipo de videojuegos que utilizaban los estudiantes,
además de formatos impresos para el registro de los promedios de calificaciones,
del primer y segundo trimestre del año académico 2021, en cuatro asignaturas
básicas: matemáticas, español, inglés y ciencias naturales. Los resultados
mostraron asociación significativa entre el uso, la frecuencia y tiempo dedicado a
los videojuegos y el rendimiento en la asignatura matemáticas. Sin embargo, no
se encontró asociación significativa con respecto a las otras asignaturas.
