Programa de promoción de estilos de vida saludable en estudiantes de la licenciatura en fisioterapia de la Universidad Especializada de las Américas, Sede Central
Abstract
Esta tesis presenta una experiencia de investigación en dos fases: la primera
fase, el análisis de los estilos de vida de la comunidad universitaria UDELAS,
sede central, en el cual fueron encuestados docentes, estudiantes y
administrativos de las cuatro facultades que componen la universidad: Facultad
de Ciencias Médicas y Clínicas, Facultad de Biociencias y Salud Pública,
Facultad de Educación Especial y Pedagogía, y la Facultad de Educación Social
y Desarrollo Humano. Una vez obtenidos los resultados, los mismos fueron la
base para realizar la segunda fase de la investigación: un estudio pretest –
postest con la participación de un grupo control y un grupo experimental al cual
se le aplicó el programa de intervención “UDELAS SALUDABLE”, que pretende
promover estilos de vida saludable. Este consistió en seis (6) talleres de tres
horas cada uno, los cuales se dirigieron a estudiantes de cuarto semestre de la
Licenciatura en Fisioterapia; los resultados cuantitativos y cualitativos, al igual
que los antecedentes teóricos indican que el programa es efectivo.
