Abstract
Título: Importancia del ejercicio físico en pacientes con tratamiento de
hemodiálisis.
Introducción: La hemodiálisis es un tratamiento médico que consiste en la
sustitución artificial de las funciones de los riñones aplicados a pacientes que
presentan insuficiencia renal. Estas terapias suelen producir alteraciones
funcionales causadas por el sedentarismo y la intensidad de las sesiones, entre
otras. El ejercicio físico es el conjunto de acciones, a nivel corporal, que
promueve el movimiento en todo el cuerpo y que aportan numerosos beneficios.
El objetivo es determinar la importancia de los ejercicios físicos en pacientes con
tratamientos de hemodiálisis.
Materiales y métodos: Se realizó una revisión bibliográfica de artículos científicos
y tesis en pubmed, scielo y Google académico. La selección fue no
probabilística por conveniencia con una revisión de 35 estudios experimentales,
10 de ellos formaron parte de los criterios de inclusión y exclusión. Es una
investigación tipo cualitativo – descriptivo, tomando como variables los pacientes
con hemodiálisis y el ejercicio físico.
Resultados: Los pacientes con hemodiálisis, sometidos a programas de
ejercicios, lograron importantes beneficios como el aumento de la capacidad
neuromuscular, la funcionabilidad como la marcha, las actividades diarias,
mejorando la parte física y social, obteniendo, de esta manera, una condición de
vida favorable.
Discusión: Todos los estudios seleccionados demuestran que el ejercicio físico
tiene una labor fundamental en el mejoramiento de la salud de las personas con
hemodiálisis; sus beneficios, como medio terapéutico, son muy efectivos.
