Calidad del sueño en estudiantes de la carrera de medicina de quinto semestre de una universidad oficial de Panamá
Abstract
La calidad del sueño es la impresión que posee cada un individuo sobre su
desarrollo al dormir, en esta incurren factores como las horas de sueño, expertos
refieren un promedio de 7 a 8 horas al día para una buena recuperación del
cuerpo.
Se efectuó una investigación sobre la calidad de sueño en estudiantes de la
carrera de medicina de quinto semestre en una universidad oficial de Panamá,
con el propósito de determinar el estado del mismo. Se manejó una investigación
descriptiva, no experimental de carácter transversal, con una muestra de 81
estudiantes. Para el proceso de recolección de datos se utilizó el Índice de Calidad
de Sueño de Pittsburgh (ICSP), el cual evalúa la calidad del sueño y sus
alteraciones clínicas durante el mes previo, el cual es importante para cubrir con
el objetivo planteado.
En los resultados se pudo observar que, en su totalidad los estudiantes
presentan mala calidad de sueño, lo que podría ocasionar el desarrollo de
trastornos del sueño u otras complicaciones de gravedad.
