Guía de cuidados respiratorios en pacientes con Shock Séptico de foco pulmonar en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos del Complejo Hospitalario Doctor Arnulfo Arias Madrid, durante los meses de septiembre - noviembre 2019
Abstract
En el siguiente documento daremos a conocer nuestra experiencia obtenida durante la práctica
profesional, con el fin de dar a conocer la intervención de los terapeutas respiratorios con los
pacientes de estado crítico que se encuentran en las unidades de cuidados intensivos y sobre
todo, los pacientes con diagnóstico de shock séptico. En este informe además, podrán observar
nuestra propuesta de solución ante una problemática vista durante la rotación clínica y la
intervención directa con el diagnóstico de shock séptico, de foco pulmonar, en la institución
asignada (C.H.Dr.A.A.M).
La sepsis se considera un síndrome clínico de disfunción orgánica, potencialmente mortal,
causada por una respuesta desregulada ante una infección. En el shock séptico, hay una reducción
crítica en la perfusión a nivel tisular y puede darse por una falla aguda de múltiples órganos,
incluidos los pulmones, riñones y el hígado. Las causas comunes en pacientes
inmunocompetentes es la presencia de especies raras de bacterias u hongos. Entre los signos
para el diagnóstico se incluyen: fiebre, hipotensión, oliguria y confusión.
Este informe refleja los resultados obtenidos en la práctica profesional y los datos obtenidos de los
pacientes diagnosticados con shock séptico y también las patologías más vistas en las diferentes
salas de rotación del C.H.Dr.A.A.M.
