Abstract
El informe de práctica profesional supervisada propone un trabajo
fisioterapéutico a través de actividades lúdicas para mejorar el equilibrio y la
coordinación en estudiantes del programa de autismo del Instituto Panameño de
Habilitación Especial; ya que estos además de presentar déficits en la
comunicación, interacción social y en la flexibilidad en razonamiento, también
presentan déficit motor en el equilibrio y la coordinación que son susceptibles al
tratamiento fisioterapéutico y con mejores resultados entre más temprana se dé
la intervención.
De igual manera las modalidades fisioterapéuticas utilizadas en el instituto, por
sí solas brindan beneficios al estudiante y al momento de fusionarlas o
combinarlas con las actividades lúdicas promueve la interacción con otros niños,
familiares, cuidadores y terapeuta; incidiendo así grandemente en el desarrollo
de la comunicación, el vínculo, el desarrollo del equilibrio y la coordinación.
Dando como resultado mejorías en temas conductuales, emocionales y físicos a
través del juego.
