Factores psicosociales de riesgo asociados a ideación suicida en adolescentes escolarizados de David, Chiriquí
Abstract
El objetivo de este estudio fue establecer la asociación entre los factores
psicosociales de riesgo y la ideación suicida en adolescentes escolarizados
residentes en la ciudad de David, provincia de Chiriquí. La metodología implicó
un diseño de investigación no experimental de corte transversal y el tipo de estudio
que se utilizó fue descriptivo y correlacional. La muestra seleccionada fue de 165
adolescentes escolarizados entre las edades de 13 a 17 años de diferentes
centros educativos oficiales. Como instrumentos se utilizó el Inventario de
Orientación Suicida (ISO-30) y un cuestionario ad hoc para evaluar los factores
psicosociales. Dentro de los resultados obtenidos, se observó un nivel bajo de
supervisión parental con un 27,3%, un nivel alto de hostilidad y rechazo con un
22.4%, un nivel bajo de apoyo familiar con 41.8%, un nivel de influencia de los
pares de 20.6%. A su vez se observó 26.7% de prevalencia de ideación suicida,
de los cuales un 15.2% presentaba un nivel elevado de riesgo suicida. De igual
manera se encontró asociación entre la ideación suicida y los factores: estructura
familiar, hostilidad y rechazo, influencia de los pares y apoyo de los padres, en
tanto que no se encontró relación con la supervisión parental y la historia de
trastorno psicológico parental.
